MPJH PTSA Programs
Get involved at any level. There's not just one way to PTSA! We love to put people in roles that will work with not just your skill set, but also the level of time and energy you have. Each of the following programs have a different amount of effort it takes to succeed and have fun. Let us know if any sound like a fit for you!

School Dances
MPJH hosts three all-school dances a year. The dances take place on campus and include a DJ, open gym and lots of fun! Tickets are $5 and pizza, drinks and other concessions are available for $1/item. Chaperones and donations are needed, so check back here and our Facebook page frequently for sign up information.
8th Grade Events Coordinator
8th grade at MPJH is a very special year! There are many events to make this year stand out. 8th grade T-shirts, 8th vs staff kickball game, Ice Cream Social, 8th grade career expo, and the culminating event, the 8th grade dance. Parents work together all year to plan these events. Contact us about getting involved today!
Hospitality Team
The hospitality team supports our teachers with meals and treats every month. Check back here and on our Facebook page for sign ups.
6th grade International Day
International Day is a special day for 6th graders. Parents take over the gym with exhibits from different countries. Students rotate through the exhibits during their social studies class. This is as much fun for the parents as it is for the kids!
Family Fun Nights
PTSA hosts two family fun nights to support family engagement. Look out for the fun events planned this year!
Fun Food Fridays
Favorite days of the year! PTSA sells pizza, chick fil a and ALL KINDS OF Treats for $1 an item. Be sure to sign up to volunteer and donate. This is one you don't want to miss!
PBIS
PBIS is our school-wide behavior incentive program, Positive Behavior Intervention Support. Students are awarded points by teachers and administrators for demonstrating Eagle TALONS traits: Trustworthy, Accepting, Leading, Optimistic, Noble, and Scholarly. Students can use their points to buy little items at the PBIS store. The PTSA coordinates the purchase of items for the online PBIS store and organizes volunteers to work, as well. Reflections
Reflections is a National PTA Art Program. Look out for information on the Reflections theme for the year. Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts. Veteran's Day Event
Our veterans are celebrated at this invitation-only event. Refreshments are served and different ensembles perform.
Box Tops
An easy way to earn cash for our school. Download the Box Tops app and simply scan your digital or paper receipts for participating products. Set it up for MPJH and our school will automatically earn cash with every Box Tops product you buy.
Historian
Did you know we have a scrapbook in our library with photos of all activities the PTSA did last year? The historian collects and preserves documents relating to the history of our association and presents a written report to the membership as the official history adopted at the annual meeting.
Katy Council Delegate
The Council PTA delegate acts as a liaison between our PTSA and Katy Council of PTAs. The delegate promotes their programs and plans and communicates the needs and wishes of our local PTA.
Spirit Wear
During summer, our PTSA team designs and orders our spirit wear for purchase during Schedule Pick-Up and other school events. Great way to show your MPJH School Spirit!!
Beautification
The PTSA, together with the school principal and staff, work on opportunities to beautify and help the school with practical solutions to assist with infrastructure where needed.
Fundraiser
PTSA works with vendors to promote their business in return for a percentage of sales, such as Spirit Nights.
Communications & E-News
Stay on top of all initiatives happening at our school. Be it through our liaison with the school’s Eagle Express newsletter, this PTSA website, GroupMe chat group or our Facebook page, we have volunteers to pull it all together. Communication is key!
